Have you tried: Wild camping?

Written by Fiona

Wild camping, especially in Scotland, is a popular thing to do. But maybe you are yet to take your first steps, or you are wondering what you need, where to go and what the rules are. There has been a lot of news about restrictions on wild camping in Loch Lomond & the Trossachs National Park but away from these small areas, now covered by a new byelaw in the busy summer months, there are still plenty of places for wild camping. You simply need to walk or cycle a little way into the countryside.

Outside of this park there are plentiful of other locations for experiencing the wonders of wild camping. My Sunday Mail outdoors column of April 10 looked at Going wild camping.
