A great event called the Highlander Mountain Marathon takes place for the third time this April. It offers the perfect start-of-season challenge for all kinds of adventurers and because the mountain marathon is divided into five different classes it is open to a wide range of potential participants.

The Highlander fills something of a gap in the market for two-day mountain marathons in Scotland and is run by a highly experienced and imaginative team called Hands On Events.

If you have never before taken part in a mountain marathon then you have no idea what fun you are missing. And if you’re already familiar with the challenging format then you would be mad to miss out on the Highlander. Another bonus of this event is that becasue it takes place in April it is “midge-freee
