Perhaps I’m easily pleased?

Sometimes I get the best gifts! And I know that not everyone is going to appreciate this as anything special. But today the G-Force presented with 5 cute boxes, each containing a lovely shiny new inner tube for my bike! They are top notch Michelin inner tubes, too. Having suffered around five punctures in recent weeks it’s fantastic to now have a pile of new tubes sitting in my bike kit box. (yes, I do own a bike kit box. Doesn’t everyone?!)  It makes me feel warm and protected! I guess the downside of doing so many miles on my bike is the increased expense on inner tubes and bike maintenance.

Then again, buying new trainers for running can be pricey, too. A trip to Achilles Heel yesterday revealed that Little Miss Outdoors has grown so much that she’s now into 5.5 size trainers. That’s adult sizes! Thankfully a couple of brands, including Asics, have children’s sizes up to 5.5 (ie cheaper prices) but next time I’ll need to pay adult prices for Little Miss. Oh my!
