Adventures, books and inspiration of Sir Ranulph Fiennes

Written by Fiona November 13 2013

It’s impossible not to be in awe of Sir Ranulph Fiennes. Even if you are not in the least bit outdoorsy, the adventures of Fiennes are exciting and inspiring. His latest book Cold – Extreme Adventures at the Lowest Temperature on Earth makes my body recoil at the thought (I don’t do well in the cold) yet I still fancy a read.

In May 2009, at the age of 65, he climbed to the summit of Mount Everest, the oldest Briton ever to do so. According to the Guinness Book of World Records he is the world’s greatest living explorer.

To date, Sir Ranulph has raised more than £14.2 million for UK charities through his expeditions and in 1993 was awarded an OBE for “human endeavour and charitable services”.

He has also been named as the UK’s top celebrity fundraiser by JustGiving, the UK’s most popular online fundraising platform.

Fiennes is also a leading inspirational and motivational speaker. His resilience in adverse situations and motivational spirit are legendary so he’s the ideal choice for leadership or teamworking conference presentations.  Imagine the excitement of your potential audience if Fiennes was there to kick off your meetings in 2014.
