Great find: list of cycle events for all

Written by Fiona July 22 2010

While doing some research for a cycling article for the Daily Record I came across this really useful site called Bike Events Scotland. It’s the brain child of Cycling Scotland, and offers a really useful resource for all cyclists. There are training sessions for beginners, families, improvers and cycling addicts, as well  as a whole host of events. Clubs and organisations can also register so as to add their own events and sessions.

I’ve also been in touch with a new cycling initiative for women only. Hervelo is based in Edinburgh and offers cycling outings and training sessions for all abilities and on mountain bikes or road bikes. They want to encourage more women on their bikes.

There’s a great deal more going on for cyclists than I ever imagined. Get on your bikes!
