Sign up for Belles on Bikes leader course

Written by Fiona March 21 2012

Bike Club, a UK-wide group that aims to encourage more young people to take up cycling, is looking for women in Glasgow to take part in a Belles on Bikes leadership programme.

What is the Belles on Bikes?

Belles on Bikes is designed to give women the skills, knowledge and confidence to encourage more girls and young women to get out on their bikes. With support from Bike Club, the potential leaders will help to organise and run a small event in the local area and set up a cycling project (or help at an existing project) for women.

The leadership course will include:

Cycling Scotland’s 4-day Cycle Trainer Course
• Maintenance training
• Sports Leaders UK qualification

Who is Belles on Bikes for?

The leadership course is open to any female aged 16+. To be eligible you must currently enjoy cycling, be confident on a bike, have your own bike or access to one and be keen to learn the skills necessary to pass on your passion for cycling.

If you are interested in taking part, email Bike Club Officer for Glasgow, Victoria.leiper@bikeclub.org.uk or call 0776 6403 220
