A friend – one of my MAMIL pals actually! – has been complaining. Quite a lot. He has just bought himself a beautiful carbon bike and he’s looking for cycle shoes. He fancies carbon but he’d prefer them not to be white. He says he is struggling to find a shop in the Glasgow area that sells more than a couple of brands. In fact, this MAMIL visited several bike shops the other day but managed to try on only one pair of size 42 carbon bike shoes. All other shops had “sold out” of 42s or 42s “on order” or had 42s but not in carbon and not in a range of brands. He texted me with his big rant!

So, I thought I’d see if anyone can help. He could buy on-line but he’d prefer to try shoes on for fit and sizing. He wants to spend his money in a real-time shop but unless there is a shop out there that stocks a few high-end size 42 cycle shoes he says he’s going to go on-line and order up a range and choose the ones he wants and send the others back.

Surely there is a bike shop that can help my MAMIL pal? Please.
