Riding the new Etape Loch Ness

Written by Fiona May 07 2014

A full write up of the new Etape Loch Ness will appear in the Sunday Mail this Sunday. It was a great cycle sportive and although the weather was a bit wet and overcast I think it made for even more dramatic views. We cycled 67 miles around Loch Ness on wonderful closed roads.

Here I am on my new Planet X N2A Guru carbon road bike (superb performer when I needed to put the foot down), wearing a selection of my favourite bike clothing brand, Gore Bike Wear, including:

Gore Bike Xenon 2.0 Lady bibtights – love the fit and feel of these bibshorts, especially the wide leg hems. I also like the two zipped back that allows for easy toilet stops!

Road Gore-Tex Overshoes – for dry feet whatever the weather throws at you.

Gore Power 2.0 Thermo Lady Jersey – fab fit, warm but not too hot, great back pockets and superb visibility.

I also had on the Gore Power SE Lady Jersey – this is a lovely fit and very pretty but it was too cold to wear on its own.

And Gore Countdown Socks  – comfy fit and a good ankle height for wearing in bike shoes.
