Sunday Mail: Join the SMR Munro Challenge

Written by Fiona July 14 2014

Scottish Mountain Rescue provide an invaluable service to all outdoors fans.  The teams, spread across Scotland, are all manned by volunteers and require a lot of expensive equipment and training. They are funded mostly by donations and fund-raising.

This September, an Isle of Skye Whisky Munro Challenge, supported by Tiso outdoors retailer, is calling on as many people as possible to walk a Munro or two and raise funds for the SMR. I wrote about the charity fund-raisier and also spoke to Chris Tiso, who plans to take part in the challenge.
