It might surprise you to discover that I haven’t always been a fan of camping. It was the soggy fields, damp sleeping bags and congealed baked beans at Girl Guide camps in my childhood ago that put me off. Thankfully, in the last decade, I tried again and realised that I love modern camping, and in all its many forms, from car-to-campsite family camping holidays to in-the-middle-of-nowhere wild camping trips.
