Do you know what a trekathon is? It’s a walking challenge that equates to the same distance as a marathon. In Scotland, a new trekathon is being launched on July 4, 2015, called The Great Glencoe Challenge.

wp3efb377a_06The Great Glencoe Challenge is a self-led trek along a 26.2-mile route that cuts through the heart of Glencoe from the start point close to the Clachaig Inn, up and over the Devil’s Staircase on the West Highland Way, down through Kinlochleven and on to the finishing point in beautiful Glen Nevis, Fort William.

You can enter as an individual, pair or team (maximum six people). The route is fully marshalled to ensure your safety at crossing points, as well as being fully signposted to keep trekker on track.
