Running new routes: Lennox Forest, Lennoxtown

Written by Fiona

February 19 2021

Having moved to Lenzie in East Dunbartonshire (some 10 miles from where we used to stay), I have been exploring new local trails. Lennox Forest is nearby and while I have run and mountain biked here before with friends, I wasn’t sure I could navigate myself.

Thanks to my friend Iain, I now have a route saved in my Os Map app and a better idea of how the trails link up. This is a great 10k loop in Lennox Forest, taking in a trig pillar with lovely views.

Start/finish: Lennoxtown Memorial hall

Distance: 10km

Total ascent: 208m
