This is a list of trail running races in Scotland for 2025. Most of the listed races are half marathons or marathons, or close to these distances. I have added some interesting hill and mountain races, too. These are chosen for location, distance or elevation gain and are subjective! There are many more 5k and 10k races that take place in Scotland but I have only included these where they are part of a long-distance event. These are the type of running races that people might be keen to travel to as a “destination event”. For a list of half marathons including road races, see Scottish half marathons.
