Sealskinz cycling overshoe wins ISPO Gold Award

The Sealkskinz Neoprene Halo cycling overshoe is a Gold Award ISPO 2015 winner in the Outdoor Accessories Category.

The innovative Halo Overshoe ticks both practical and safety boxes for the winter rider. It provides a different level of protection thanks to a rear heel-mounted 4-Lumen high-powered LED. The LED has a flashing or constant setting that can be seen from more than 500m.

The light is powered by a CR2032 replaceable battery and has up to 240 hour runtime from a single set of cells.

Dave Richards, Head of Marketing at Sealskinz, says: “We’ve been overwhelmed by the positive reaction to the Halo Overshoe. It not only offers excellent weather protection but gives cyclists additional visibility, which is so important for safety.

“Winning the ISPO Gold Award really is the icing on the cake,”

The Halo Overshoe is available in a closed sole style made from neoprene with a silicon leg gripper and reflective piping along the side zipper, giving additional visibility and protection from traffic.

The closed sole is perfect for road shoes and also includes Kevlar reinforcements for added durability.

The Halo is also available in a lightweight, open-soled version, making it compatible with all cycle cleats. A Kevlar heel and toe insert makes it extremely hard wearing.
