Scotland has become renowned as a great place to surf. Our country’s coastline is home to numerous great surf spots, whatever your experience or ability. So where can you find out more about surfing in Scotland?

Many novice surfers will sign up to a surf session or two. But after that, surfing is all about practice. Of course, once you get to know the scene you’ll learn where the great surf breaks are – but there is also a good series of surfing guide books published by Wavefinder. Now Wavefinder has revamped their website to include regular updates on top surfing spots, a blog and the latest news from the sport. The website also offers an improved experience for finding and buying their popular products. Every week, the website will feature a “spot of the week” drawn from a Wavefinder title. There will also be regular pro surfer tips.

Nick Rink, managing director of Wavefinder, said: “Our aim has always been to help surfers of all ages and abilities get maximum enjoyment from their surfing. In developing the new website our goal has been to make it easy and enjoyable to use.”

As well as surfing, Wavefinder publish guides and manuals for snowsports and mountain biking, and each sport has its own dedicated area on the new site. The company also publish Surfing: The Manual, a skills and technique guide which helps surfers of all levels improve their surfing.
