Exclusive: First look at innovative cycle helmet

Written by Fiona

November 12 2015

This is exciting! I have been given an exclusive preview of a new helmet that is the “world’s first multi-impact, soft, safe, folding cycle helmet“.

Take a look at the video because it explains what this new one-size-fits-all product is all about.

Of course, finance is required to develop new products and like many new companies, HeadKayse will be crowdfunding. The crowdfunding campaign launches on Indiegogo tomorrow (Friday November 13 at 1pm).

There are early bird offers for the first 300 people to pledge money on Indiegogo. The HeadKayse helmet will retail at £89, while the Indiegogo regular price is £75.

The helmets are made entirely in the UK and the aim is to also promote local industry  in the west country and South Wales.
As well as cycling, the new helmet can be used for other sports, such as skiing and snowboarding, and also for people with medical conditions such as epilepsy.

The main points to the HeadKayse helmet are:

          • Soft and flexible so more comfortable to wear.
          • It folds up for easier storage and carrying.
          • It can take multiple impacts, unlike the usual helmet that needs to be replaced after an impact.

Take a look at this video, too.
